Wood is the central element of the design, shaping both the structure and the visual identity of the piece and reflecting Molteni&C’s tradition of craftsmanship and material knowledge. Every element is resolved through carving, thickness, and proportion rather than applied detail.

Technical Details

The defining feature of Tibeau is its sculpted “T”‑shaped silhouette, inspired by the bed design of the same name. The shape introduces a brutalist clarity softened by rounded and curved lines, allowing the piece to remain visually strong while maintaining continuity with the bed’s profile.

Designed as a functional companion within the bedroom, Tibeau balances solidity and refinement, offering a bedside element that connects past references with contemporary use, remaining precise, grounded, and intentional.

GamFratesi

GamFratesi is the Copenhagen-based design studio of Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. Gam holds a master’s in furniture design, while Fratesi earned a master’s in industrial design. Before founding their studio, the duo gained experience in architecture firms across Japan and Scandinavia, blending diverse cultural influences into their work.
