Technical Details

The outer shell forms a continuous enclosure around the seat. Inside, the padded shell supports the backrest, seat, and armrests, creating a compact and well‑balanced volume. This layered construction gives the armchair a clear profile and a natural, welcoming posture.

Leonard rests on a swivel base in glossy pewter‑finished steel, introducing mobility without altering the stability of the design. The base allows the chair to adapt easily to changing uses, while its restrained finish keeps the focus on the structure. The proportions are measured, ensuring the armchair integrates easily into both intimate and more open spaces.

Upholstered in fabric or leather from the Molteni&C collection, Leonard embodies a consistent identity across material choices. Its structural precision, balanced proportions, and form supports multiple ways of inhabiting the space without visual excess.

Christophe Delcourt is a self-taught designer who honed his craft within French manufacturing ateliers, mastering materials, traditional techniques, and the art of fine furniture making. In 1995, he founded Delcourt Collection, a benchmark in French design, known for its commitment to craftsmanship and refined, understated elegance.
