Harmony in Contrast

Two formidable design traditions come together to create a very special resonance when icons from the Molteni&C Heritage Collection find their way into the sweeping Langelinie Pavillonen, the modernist pavilion designed in 1954 by Eva and Niels Koppel whose linear form and simple composition are inspired by the international style of the Mies Van der Rohe school. Here, Gio Ponti meets Vincent Van Duysen, Tobia Scarpa, Foster + Partners and Patricia Urquiola, in a peerless composition underscored by a magnificent obsession with quality and detail. These great global masters and Molteni&C partners are driven by a common vision.

Past, Present, Future…

Weaving themselves seamlessly into a Scandinavian context, Italian design narratives from past and present offer the pristine elegance of their fluid forms and exacting lines to the expansive spatial volumes. The main player, the Heritage Collection, looks to the future with an artistic and cultural heritage to be enhanced with each new age. Molteni&C thus retraces its history with an eye on the future. The creation of the historical archive and founding of the Molteni Museum were an opportunity to go back to the beginning and the origin of modernity. This has revealed traces of a past that is, in fact, contemporary, and ready to be re-interpreted today.

The Timeless Now

This bright, light-filled architecture dialogues with its surroundings thanks to its impressive windows that allow a glimpse of nature, in constant dialogue between indoors and out. An array of different eras, aesthetics and inspirations coalesce to create a unity made rich by its exquisite multiplicity. A theatre of life, where past and present interact, giving shape to atmospheres of timeless elegance.
