Balancing architectural precision with elegant ease, the Soleva 2–3‑seater sofa by Vincent Van Duysen embodies a refined vision of outdoor living. Guided by the gentle rhythm of sunlight — the inspiration behind its name — the Soleva sofa balances lightness and structural presence. Defined by a continuous, slender tubular frame, the design's clear, linear profiles soften into fluid contours, creating a visual harmony that blends in naturally with any outdoor setting.

Design Vincent Van Duysen

Designed for lasting performance in the open air, the powder‑coated aluminum structure is both lightweight and durable.

The tactile richness of the design is further elevated by vertical slats crafted from marine plywood, an ecological recycled material selected for its flexibility, endurance, and warm organic feel. Finished with a soft EVA coating, the slats introduce a delicate sensory dimension, enhancing comfort while preserving structural integrity.

The cushions bring another layer of refinement: supportive polyurethane seat inserts wrapped in water‑repellent, fully recyclable fibers, and plush back cushions that lend softness without compromising posture. Optional armrest cushions, resting freely along the frame, provide adaptive comfort.

Offered in both 2‑ and 3‑seater versions, the Soleva sofa reflects Vincent Van Duysen’s signature stylistic purity. Whether placed on a terrace, veranda, or garden landscape, it conveys a sense of openness and serenity, transforming outdoor environments into modern havens. Coordinated with the Louisa and Dalia tables, Soleva forms a cohesive design landscape defined by balance, craftsmanship, and contemporary elegance.

Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels. He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound. Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture. By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.
