With its measured proportions and timeless elegance, the Soleva chair by Vincent Van Duysen translates the architectural clarity of the Soleva family in an upright posture, offering the support and composure needed for shared meals, long conversations, and leisurely gatherings in the open air. Its powder‑coated tubular aluminum structure outlines a light yet sturdy profile that integrates seamlessly into diverse outdoor settings.

The backrest is defined by a sequence of vertical marine‑plywood slats, an ecological recycled material valued for its strength, elasticity, and natural warmth. Finished in EVA, these slats offer a smooth tactile quality while adding a crafted, material richness to the chair’s silhouette.

Comfort is elevated through thoughtfully designed cushions: a polyurethane seat insert wrapped in water‑repellent, fully recyclable fibers, complemented by a supportive polyester‑fiber back cushion. Fully stackable, the chair brings together practicality and style, making it ideal for terraces, dining verandas, and both residential and hospitality environments.

Defined by balance and a sense of modern restraint, the Soleva chair completes the collection with a dining piece that is timelessly elegant.

Design

Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels. He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound. Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture. By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.
