Molteni&C presents Geometry of Life, a short movie in two chapters directed by Luca Werner and shot at Palazzo Molteni.

This film captures the elegant domesticity of family life across generations and from multiple perspectives, playing out amidst the curated Molteni&C interiors of a Milanese Palazzo, home of an art collector, Franco, and a contemporary international penthouse.

Culture, tradition, and deep affection are an invisible matrix that permeates the family’s words and wordless gestures, creating a geometry that ties them together in a living architecture across shared spaces and natural moments.

After Chapter One and Two capture the beauty of everyday family moments in the frame of Palazzo Molteni, the Geometry of Life narrative beckons our protagonists outdoors, in the open air, surrounded by lush native plants and tall grasses in cinematic terrace scenes. 

The Physis kitchen by Vincent Van Duysen introduces an elegant and contemporary vision, innovating kitchen shapes with rounded edges and half-bullnose workmanship. Open compartments and units are imagined in fine materials and finishes with thoughtfully placed lighting to accentuate the kitchen’s curved lines and spatial fluidity.

Drawing inspiration from sole — the Italian word for ‘sun’ — the Soleva Outdoor Collection by Vincent Van Duysen blends soft, rounded forms with deep, low-slung seating. Designed to integrate seamlessly into the outdoor landscape of a terrace, patio, or poolside landing, the collection is rooted in modularity to create versatile atmospheres ideal for convivial gatherings.

Extending the legacy of Rodolfo Dordoni’s iconic Chelsea silhouettes for indoors, the Chelsea Outdoor Collection by Studio Dordoni recreates the design narrative for open-air environments. The collection’s seating is defined by a woven backrest motif that lends it a geometric and inviting finish. Chelsea Outdoor coffee tables complete the collection, ensuring formal coherence and a harmonious outdoor setting.

The 2026 Indoor Collection evokes structured elegance, combining architectural precision with material sensitivity. Proportions are calibrated with an almost musical cadence; volumes interact in a balance of solids and voids; surfaces alternate tactile density with sophisticated finishes. The color palette moves between mineral and natural tones, deep accents, and enveloping nuances, creating visual continuity and spatial harmony. A discreet echo of Art Deco resonates through the compositions to elevate the emotion of the designs. In 2026, Mohaded has become the first Latin-American designer to join the Molteni&C family of designers, with his Corsetto armchair for the brand debuting at Milan Design Week 2026 – a piece that mixes leather and textile, with the armchair’s form structured by a distinctive corset element that squeezes its volume into soft, enveloping shapes.

To celebrate the reedition of the iconic Monk armchair by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in the 2025 Collection, we invited Cabana Magazine to give their distinctive mark to the design for an exclusive limited edition.

For Cabana, the challenge was clear: to preserve Molteni&C’s modernist spirit, avoiding any decorative applications of a floral or ethnic nature, while still introducing Cabana’s unmistakable identity. While the brand is synonymous with "decoration" and aesthetic research, Cabana chose a refined and conceptual approach for this project.
