An invitation to stop, dream and play with your imagination. The Molteni&C interpretation of MOUVEMENT is a tribute to the past, a contemporary re-interpretation of a classic dear to us all. At the Flagship Store in Rue des Saints Pères there’s a chest of secrets where you can admire the optical toys made by Zoetrope: Doda armchair, small tables Domino and 45°/Tavolino, pyramids, cubes and spheres all come alive intriguingly. A zoetrope is a 19th-century optical toy that gives the impression of continuous motion. A circular motor-driven plate, which spins faster and faster until the strobe lights go off, creating an optical illusion that brings the Molteni&C objects alive.
