PRIVATE PENTHOUSE IN MILAN, ITALY
This Milan Penthouse features interior and exterior furnishings from Molteni&C, and was designed by the accomplished architects Alberto Mazzoni and Diego Guicciardi, renowned for their restoration projects in central Milan during the late ’60s. The building was constructed in the early 1800s under the guidance of Engineer Luigi Clerichetti, and boasts a neoclassical facade characterized by elegant and understated lines.
Nestled in one of Milan’s most prestigious neighborhoods, this private penthouse boasts an unrivaled vantage point offering breathtaking views of the city’s skyline. Occupying the seventh and eighth floors of an 1800s historical building that once housed a church and a convent, this penthouse beautifully marries the echoes of the past with contemporary architecture.
Commencing in 2019, the penthouse's transformation was initiated by the visionary Architect Gustavo Persico. Through ingenious architectural prowess, Persico tapped into the building's latent potential, crafting a space that stands as a true masterpiece.
Reflecting on the project, Persico remarks, "The essence of the project was already present; our task was to eliminate the machinery, roofing, and embrace panoramic views...Our mission was to capture the property's essence, optimizing internal perspectives both in depth and height across the three available floors."
Studio Azzolina masterfully interweaves modernity with heritage. Catering to even the most discerning occupants, the interior design pays homage to the property's history, Milan's rich tapestry, and cultural backdrop. Encompassing over 410 square meters, the penthouse's panoramic windows capture Milan's essence from nearly every angle.
This exquisite penthouse features four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest bathroom, and two double garages. The first floor radiates grandeur with a spacious double living room, adjoining study adorned with a library, fireplace, and bar cabinet. A dining room on the main terrace offers sweeping vistas of Milan's rooftops, while the kitchen frames the enchanting Brera Academy and its botanical garden.
The second floor, embraced by expansive sliding doors, houses the master area, a generous 65-square-meter bedroom, a roomy walk-in closet, and an opulent adjoining bathroom. A second bedroom, also boasting an en-suite bathroom, captures a splendid view of the Duomo.

Throughout the penthouse, parquet oak floors are laid in a French herringbone pattern. Molteni&C's influence graces the space with Millwork furnishings, including the boiserie and the 505UP system, both designed by Nicola Gallizia. The iconic Harry's bar cabinet, crafted from Canaletto Walnut wood, offers elegance alongside bathroom furnishings.

The Dada Engineered kitchen, a testament to quality, is a VVD model designed by Vincent Van Duysen, showcasing versatility and elegance in Canaletto Walnut, ceramic, and steel.
Supplementing the interior design are pieces from collections like the Surf sofa by Yabu Pushelberg and the Louisa coffee tables by Van Duysen. Additionally, the Heritage collection contributes iconic furnishings by Gio Ponti, including the D. 153.1 and Round D.154.5 armchairs, the D.847.1 writing desk, the D.555.1 table, and the D.754.1 rug.
