LESSLESS TABLES AND DESKS JEAN NOUVEL

      ( Tables and desks )

      LESSLESS

Originally created for the Fondation Cartier in Paris in 1994, LessLess by Jean Nouvel exemplifies the purity of design reduced to its essential form. This collection of rectangular and square tables expresses an architectural clarity, bringing purpose to every detail. Defined by its light lines and striking minimalism, LessLess reveals how simplicity and precision offer an expression of elegance.

The defining feature of LessLess lies in its seamless geometry. The table’s ultra-thin horizontal surface appears almost weightless, while its strength is concealed within the clever play of corners and folds. By bending the aluminum sheet along subtle inclined planes, Nouvel achieves a profile that is both delicate in appearance and robust in structure.

Crafted entirely in aluminum, the table celebrates the material through its smooth surfaces and sharp contours. The painted finish, available in a variety of colors, adds depth and versatility, while standing out as a statement of refined design.

LessLess thrives in both residential and public settings, offering flexibility without sacrificing character. Its distinctive design makes it equally suited for intimate dining spaces, creative work environments, or open architectural contexts.

      MOLTENI MIND

Jean Nouvel, a long-term collaborator of Molteni&C whose designs have become icons of the brand, was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2008.

The elementarity I seek has nothing to do with minimalism. Even when it goes in for a bare minimum of material, design is no less creative.
