( Chairs and stools )
The Miss chair by Afra and Tobia Scarpa embodies a delicate balance between historic architecture and innovation. Its fluid, linear form creates a soft rhythm that guides the eye across the chair, while every curve and joint reflects a careful dialogue between craftsmanship and comfort. Originally conceived in 1986, Miss has been reinterpreted by Molteni&C to honor its heritage while remaining strikingly modern.

The chair’s slender legs provide lasting stability while contributing to its graceful silhouette. The front legs bend upward to form armrests, seamlessly flowing into the backrest’s curve. The rear legs extend from behind, subtly supporting the backrest, while the seat nestles between these lines, linking the structure with distinctive precision. Tobia Scarpa reimagined the armrest joint to enhance comfort while preserving the chair’s refined linearity.
Crafted from ash wood, the Miss chair pairs its structure with a seat in an array of upholstery options. This combination of materials emphasizes a careful attention to detail and the enduring quality of Italian craftsmanship.
Miss's flowing rhythm and measured proportions make it versatile in both living and dining spaces, offering comfort and elegance while honoring the designers’ belief that technique and logic must coexist in every creation.
