Modular, fitted kitchens with an island or peninsula that fit the style of every home. These are Dada kitchens, the Ital-ian reference brand for premium and designer kitchens, created by true experts like Dante Bonuccelli. The Argentinian designer is well known for combining daily life with technology in his work. Trim is an example of this: revolutionary in its adaptability and management of spaces. If there are not enough drawers or doors, this innovative kitchen introduces fitted backs, positioned between shelves and work surface that can be accessed with sliding, concealed glass. Award-ed with the Good Design Award (USA) in 2008, Trim's technology and functionality compete with Tivalì, a kitchen box capable of appearing and disappearing by magic thanks to a mechanism patented by Dada that stores doors in side compartments. As of 2016, this kitchen with LED wall is available in a new corner version. Vela is another of Bonuccel-li's project for Dada, a perfect retrospect on a classic design achieved with new proportions, a completely new opening system and exceptionally slim door (only 13 millimetres), a feature exalted by the unusual kind of rotation around itself. The range of modular, fitted kitchens with an island or peninsula could not be without the work of Vincent Van Duysen, who with VVD works on the contrast between thickness on the sides (slender) and worktops (solid), alternating be-tween weight and materials to achieve a sophisticated, dynamic effect. His is a kitchen with no handles, but with trol-leys, open drawers and pull-out trays to which suspended compositions can be integrated using the aluminium support-ing frame. Dada’s technological soul materialises in VVD via an innovative pivot hinge that allows the door to open by 180°, and a stunning integrated LED bar. These solutions won them the Edida prize in the Kitchen category in 2017. H-Line 6 follows, the modular kitchen-space by Ferruccio Laviani, full of details and attractive touches with highly practi-cal elements that stand out, like the high bases and the opening system for the doors with no handles. INDada, by the Milanese designer Nicola Gallizia, on the other hand, is a tribute to simplicity, a genuine journey through design that can be put together by the client thanks to shapes and colours designed to set in motion a game of minimalism. Lastly, let’s round off with one of the most iconic kitchens in Dada’s history: Banco, designed in 1994 by Luca Meda and re-vamped using new material and completely new contrasts. Its original nature, however, has remained unaltered: an is-land structure complete with containers (under the Bench), a slim worktop, solid aluminium extrusion and suspended elements complete with a base on the floor.
