( Sofas )
The Edmond sofa by Christophe Delcourt is a modular seating system that works as a flexible structure defined by movement, variation, and comfort. The design is organized around a series of elements that allow for asymmetric compositions and changing depths, encouraging different ways of sitting and using the sofa without prescribing them.

The form is shaped by curved lines and organic transitions, with corners that intersect fluidly from one module to the next. Armrests and backrests follow the same soft profile, creating continuity across the system while allowing each element to remain legible. Central modules are designed with increased depth, offering a more relaxed posture and reinforcing the sofa’s informal character.

JEANNE COFFEE TABLE CHRISTOPHE DELCOURTA distinctive feature of Edmond is the contrasting piping that traces the outline of the upholstery. This line acts as a constructive marker, running across supports, angles, and connection points to reveal the sofa’s underlying structure. The piping clarifies the geometry of the system and gives rhythm to its composition.
EDMOND SOFA CHRISTOPHE DELCOURT
I design sofas as interior landscapes, islands that inhabit space without ever dominating it. On these sofas I imprint my vision of comfort in constant reinvention. I sculpt the backrest and vary the depth of the seat, suggesting uses without ever imposing them, multiplying the ways in which this piece of furniture — now the heart of domestic life — can be inhabited.

The backrest is sculpted to support different seating positions, while the cushioning carefully balances softness and support. Upholstered in fabrics or leathers from the Molteni&C collection, Edmond adapts to a wide range of configurations and environments. Its asymmetry, material continuity, and modular logic allows the sofa to be inhabited freely, becoming an integrated part of any living space.
