Two Apartments in Naples, Italy reimagine domestic life through radical open-concept designs and unique connections to the environments surrounding each home. Developed by Primo Atelier in collaboration with Molteni&C Naples Flagship Store, these two projects present unique architectural visions, each with the goal of transforming the way we think about how living spaces interact with the natural world around them.

ROUND D.154.5 ARMCHAIR GIO PONTI
Situated on a natural balcony on the hillside overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Palizzi 75 is a 150 square meter apartment designed specifically to offer the possibility of breathtaking sea views from every room. To fully celebrate the sea as a living element integral to the home's design, each finish from walls to flooring was thoughtfully selected to create a continuous flow from one space to the next.

Thoughtfully selected pieces from the Molteni&C Collection are used throughout the home to delineate each space. Contributions to the project include a custom kitchen and loose furnishings in the living areas, including the iconic Round D.154.5 armchair by Gio Ponti and the Octave sofa by Vincent Van Duysen’s, each selected to blend into the natural color palette provided by the sea itself.

Nestled in a unique residential area in Naples surrounded by lush greenery, Colli 461 beautifully presents a radical vision of living: a single open space. Reimagining interior areas, without walls, doors, or division, this unique apartment creates a sense of fluid movement from one space to the next.
Molteni&C’s contributions to this innovative home include a custom kitchen, distinctive living room furnishings, and select pieces from the Outdoor Collection, among them Vincent Van Duysen’s Phoenix armchairs and Regent small tables and Panna Cotta small table by Ron Gilad. All pieces work in unison to create fluid interior and exterior spaces uninterrupted by boundaries.

With its groundbreaking shape and pioneering use of materials, this design, originally created in 1954, marked a pivotal moment in Ponti’s career, embracing new possibilities born from the era’s optimism and technological advances. Now reissued by Molteni&C, iconic masterpiece is made new with remarkable fidelity.
The Phoenix armchair by Vincent Van Duysen is designed to meet the evolving needs of contemporary outdoor living, combining refined geometry with a human-centered understanding of ergonomics. Each piece balances presence and lightness, offering a versatile seating experience that harmonizes effortlessly with the surrounding nature outdoors.
The Regent coffee table designed by Vincent Van Duysen is a collection of coffee tables with three distinct top shapes — round, oval, and square — each conceived as both a sculptural object and a practical surface. Their proportions are carefully calibrated to create a harmonious visual dialogue, allowing the pieces to nest effortlessly and transform living spaces into layered compositions.
