ARCHITECTURE OF LIGHT AND SHADOW: LIVING BOX

LIVING BOX SINGLE UNITS VINCENT VAN DUYSEN 505 UP SYSTEM LIVING SYSTEM AND BOOKSHELVES NICOLA GALLIZIA TELARO RUGS MARTA FERRI LINEA ARMCHAIRS VINCENT VAN DUYSEN

A passage of shadow and warm light leads into the living area, where the Living Box by Vincent Van Duysen and the 505 UP System by Nicola Gallizia enter into dialogue, composing an atmosphere of serenity anchored in refined materiality.

Along the far wall of the room, the Living Box asserts its architectural origins. Conceived by Vincent Van Duysen to echo a building reduced in scale, the low sideboard contrasts exterior and interior through material: slatted wooden doors filter a warm inner glow, while the marble top lends the composition its sense of permanence — a small piece of architecture inhabiting the room.

Along the corridor, the 505 UP System by Nicola Gallizia rises floor to ceiling in dark oak. The evolution of a Molteni&C classic, its grid of horizontal and vertical shelves is animated by integrated lighting that turns every book and object into a curated still life, pairing maximum compositional freedom with the presence of a finished piece of furniture.

Stone-clad volumes, wood ceilings, and oak flooring frame the two systems in an enveloping material palette, guiding the eye from one space to the next. Here, light becomes material and storage becomes display, defining a domestic landscape where the culture of quality living is evident in every detail.
