Flexibility and functionality is the basis of the 505 project. It is a carrier shoulder system with an extensive range of modular furnishings in, designed to house books and a television.
The finishes, matt or glossy lacquered or woods and glasses can be mixed and matched to obtain different solutions in order to answer to the modern needs. As well as the standard hinged opening with handle. To complete the system, there are multimedia compartments, different worktops, but also the possibility to compose set of containers, placed directly on the floor or hung just above floor level.

Technical Details

505, Molteni&C’s key modular system, has been updated to offer furnishing solutions in tune with contemporary living.
New finishes include Fine Grain, an exclusive Molteni&C material, a three-dimensional texturized polymer with an innovative process. The glass panel has been redesigned to reduce the structural aluminium thicknesses, enabling the transparent glass and the LED lighting to further enhance the objects displayed.

New tops up to 54cm deep 7,2cm thick, allow for work tops of up to 377cm fully integrated in the composition or on their own. These can turn into desks, open or closed compartments, for book rests and objects to be displayed or stored.

Nicola Gallizia

Nicola Gallizia, who was born in Milan, studied at the Milan Polytechnic Architecture Faculty. From 1990 to 1999 he worked with Luca Meda as an assistant creating the image and product for Molteni&C and Dada. In 1999 worked as an image and product development consultant. In 2003 he became the artistic director of Molteni&C with a focus on new graphic projects, concept and product catalogues creation, stand designs for the main exhibitions, design and outfitting shops and events. He works as an image and product development consultant.
